My Bernina Aurora 440QE is 'gathering' the fabric when I use straight stitch. Thinking it is a tension problem I have tried all ways to deal with this, but the gathering still occurs.

There may be too much pressure on the presser foot or you could be sewing on a thin fabric, or you could have a burr on the end of the needle.
