How do I get the cover off my Sottini dual-flush cistern?

The cistern will not fill and I cannot undo the flush control fixing on top so that I can remove the cover.

you need to depress one of the buttons and flip the other up with a small screwdriver, you can then flip the other button off, then with a large screwdriver, indo the centre screw. Remove the chrome button holder and the lid will come off.
