I have a Sottini double flush cistern which has started to fill very slowly. I live in a hard water area and suspect it could be scaled up. How can I take the top off the cistern to gain access. The chrome ring around the buttons is preventing me taking the lid off and I'm frightened of forcing it. Is there a secret knack?
If looks like 2 half moons, push 1 button down & flick the other up, there is then a plastic screw under the push botton which when you unscrew it the cistern lid will come off.
