Mend Grohe EAU2 Toilet Flush Cistern

GroheEAU2 Dual flush cistern. The large flush button keeps breaking off?

The full flush button breaks from time to time (3times in the last year) and it costs around 20 pounds each time for the spare. The button has the male part ( a very small hard plastic sharp spear like attachment) which fits in to the plunger (a plastic tube) and pressing activates the flush.
