is there a special knack to getting the lid back on a saniflo? thought about taking the rubber seal out of the lid and attaching it to the top of the box? not sure if it detaches? please help - where can I get caps to seal off previousley used inlets?
On most the saniflo machines the rubber lid seal attaches to the lid and on the outside edge of the rubber just sparingly use some washing up liquid then replace the lid pushing firmly one side then the other.

Hi,
your idea is correct. I took off the rubber seal made it wet and placed it on the main body. Then I pressed the lid on, first gently when all feels in place harder.
But now I can tighten the discharge hose. Any ideas?
