Mend Replacement Remove Plastic

Cookshop Halogen Oven?

I have a replacement bulb/element for the above. I have got down to the last stages to fit the wiring but do not know how to remove the plastic covering to replace the black wires of the new bulb. Do you have to cut or pull harder to get the plastic covering off?

If you mean the little socket like connectors 1st cut the old bulb wires to get it out of the way, note position of spring, I didn't, gently squeeze the connector at 90 degrees to flattened sides, metal inside is very soft, wires should then pull out. I replaced mine with ceramic connect blocks from Amazon.
