Where is Singer 6234 needle position adjustment?

How do I change the needle position on my Singer 6234. It is in the center position, has been for years, and now I want to use a narrow hemmer. The needle, in the center position, misses the material to the right. I need to move the needle to the left just slightly but can't find how to do it.

I have had suggestions about leaving the dial on 5, straight stitch, but moving the width lever which is usually used for zig-zag sewing. I can't seem to make this work.
