How can I mend my Morphy Richards bread maker?

Morphy Richards 48245 bread maker. I tried undoing all screws but some wouldn't budge so cut the bottom off with a Dremel. Inside, next to the part where the element emerges, was a machine screw, which when removed, released a threaded piece of bronzy metal that then fell down inside the machine. I don't want to spend money on a new drive belt if I have already ruined it by doing this. Any ideas?
