THE BOILER ITSELF IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION BUT THE MAINBURNINER UNIT REQUIRES REPLACEMENT.

I have to agree with the sentiments of Elanar,but what is wrong with the burner.These were usually pressed steel not the cast iron type on the older autostats.Unless you have developed a water leak from the gasket sections and the burner has corroded away.Like he says one of the best ever boilers but now well obsolete.Those were the days.

I havn't seen a Vulcan Continetal Boiler since the very early 1980's, so to hear that you have one in excellent condition is testiment to good old fashioned engineering!!. Now the Bad news, Long since obsolete, no burner parts availible i'm afraid, but boiler has done well for about 35 years, sadly your next boiler will be lucky to make 10!
