Scantronics 9448+ woes?

db 9 made by ford and has lots of ford mondeo switches,sorry mate,my passion is Astons I got a db 5 silver don't you know aluminium body 3 su carbs,13 mpg who cares its a classic 1964 just like one in gold finger (but unfortunately not got machine guns,and that's a great pity ) :-)

the tamper spring can slip sometimes and not engage in the rear casing and as e manno said can fall off so something to look out in future my friend don't you be doing homers now,and do us guys out of dosh :-):-):-)

Thankyou both for your sound advice,
It was the lid tamper spring causing the problem.

also you may have to stretch the tamper spring care fully,hold bottom of the spring and pull gently ,don't rip it out now !!!!!!!:-)

Check the tamper spring is there because that's usually the first thing that drops from the panel when the lid is removed,never to be seen again. :)

Switch the mains off before you open her up.

Also a low resistance on the bell return can cause your initial issue if it keeps sounding intermittently with new battery fitted,so you will need to replace the battery in the bell box.
